Pattern for Tatted Bridal Garter

Here is the link to the pattern for the tatted bridal garter, which my cousin wore at her wedding. Congratulations Leslie!! This is an esnips site, so simply check the design and download.

Let me say again that the pattern has not been proofed, so tat at your own risk. It may need some stitch count adjustments as well, according to your tension and liking.

Enjoy!

Hello, I'm dying to make this garter but I dont understand what "the paperclip method means." I have looked over the internet but can't find a good explanation for it. Can you point me to a link?

Thanks,
Teresa

Hi Teresa :)

I don't recall a link off hand of the technique, but basically all you need to do is hook the paperclip onto your chain thread before you tat your first knot. When the time comes for you to join the end of your work to the beginning of the cahin, the paperclip will be removed thus creating a little loop to join to. I hope this makes sense.

Ooops! That should have read 'chain' in the 4th line.

The garter is beautiful. So nice that you have tatting over here, also. Your crochet is beautiful. I hopped over here from "lace-loving-librarian's" blog.

Hi Tattingchic,

Thanks! Hopefully I can get these links fixed, now that I'm on a short break between semesters, so the garter pattern will be available.

That would be great to access the patterns' links. You mention a break before semester! You must be one very busy girl!!!
